Will I ever be “good enough?”

Religion tries to make us “good enough” for God, but our human goodness is such a puny thing. Either we realize that our best efforts fall short … OR we become so self-righteous that nobody wants t be around us.

That’s why God stepped in. He created a secure connection between us and himself. He’s the One who built it; he maintains it. All we can do is say “YES” to him. 

As his abiding love and his life-giving goodness flood into our hearts, we become changed.
