“I’m living in the YES!”
What does that even mean?
First off: it does NOT mean that everyone says “Yes” to you. You won’t always get your way, nor will everything always go your way. Instead, it means something that’s bigger, better, and far more wonderful.
“Living in the YES!” simply means that you’re living connected to God:
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)
Life on this planet is imperfect and messy. It can be glorious… frustrating… disappointing… or even desperate. But even in our worst moments, we can still live connected to God. His supercharged love, goodness, hope, joy, and healing can flow through us like a mighty river.
That’s what happened to Peter and John in the book of Acts. They were beaten, they were threatened, and they still said they couldn’t stop talking about Jesus. It’s why they were singing in prison… why their chains fell off … why the prison doors flew open … and why they were set free.
What challenges are you facing right now?
Right in the middle of your mess, you can still know:
God sees you; he hears you; he knows you; and he loves you. He will help you. When you understand you’re loved like that, you can afford to worry just a little less about the NO’s that are crowding in around you. God’s YES! is always going to be bigger and better.
Invite the Lord’s Presence into your present! Turn on some worship music and get refocused on him. Ask him what promise from his Word he is waiting to fulfill. He has a YES just waiting for you.
